GWEN ROBYNS ON N.Z.

Sir,—These women reporters who come to this country to take stock of conditions here make me indignant. I have been in residence for the last 40 years and I plainly say Miss Robyns distorts the facts. At the present time all get a Jiving wage. I think the reason why wives work as well as their husbands is because they like to be independent. One can purchase everything one requires, from kitchen spoons to the whole I wish that these reporters were >irred from entering New Zealand. When they take their reports back to England, they poison people’s minds.—Yours, etc.. A 40-YEAR RESIDENT. March 30. 1949.
