MAN WASHED OFF ROCKS

FISHING GEAR IDENTIFIED (P.A.) WELLINGTON. Jan. 26. Although the body of an elderly man who was washed off some rocks at Lyall Bay on Tuesday afternoon has not been recovered, some fishing gear and an attache case have been identified as belonging to the missing man. He was Robert Clark, aged 67, of Sutherland road, Melrose.

.Early this morning, Mr Clark'S son reported that his father was missing, and later in the day he identified fishing tackle and the remains of an attache case, which the police found on the beach. The police again searched the beach without success.
