OBITUARY
MRS C. STANLEY SMITH (P.A.) DUNEDIN, January 17. The death has occurred of Mrs C. Stanley Smith, widow of Mr Stanley Smith, who was managing director of the Evening Star Company for many years until his death in 1943.
Mrs Smith is survived by three sons and one daughter, Mrs J. L. Braithwaite. One son, Mr S. D. Smith, who is general manager of the “Evening Star,” is also chairman of directors of the New Zealand Press Association. The others are Mr G. B, Smith and Mr E. C. Smith. The funeral took place on Saturday.
