YOUNG MAN’S DEATH
DROWNED WHILE BATHING AT TE PUKE (P.A.) AUCKLAND. Dec. 19. A man was drowned while bathing in the Kaituna river at Te Puke on Saturday. He was Tai Moana O’Callaghan. aged 21. O’Callaghan had been haymaking, and late in the afternoon he went with some friends for a swim in the river. He was not a strong swimmer and was swept away. His body was recovered this afternoon.
