NATIONAL WOMEN’S championship ENTRIES LIMITED TO 15 HANDICAP PLAYERS (P.A.) PALMERSTON N„ Sept. 24. Entries have had to be limited for the 1948 New Zealand women’s golf championship to be held on the Hokowhitu course, Palmerston North, from October 7 to October 14. Only players with handicaps up to 15 are being accepted. A ballot was taken among 12 players with handicaps of four, and the unsuccessful entrants for seeded positions were Mrs G. W. Hollis (Titirangi) and Mrs D. A. Crombie (Wellington). Players submitted for selection in the North versus South Island match (eight players to be selected from each island) North Island.—Miss M.
