MR SCHUMAN STIL*L NEGOTIATING LONDON, September 1. Mr Robert Schuman continued tonight his negotiations with party leaders to form a new French Cabinet, but he does not expect to end his talks before to-morrow, Mr Andre Marie’s Radical Party has decided to join Mr Schuman’s Government. . The Socialists, whose opposition has brought down the last two Cabinets, met twice to-day and then adjourned to be “more fully informed” of Mr Schuman’s intentions. Serious labour troubles threaten to complicate the political crisis. Sporadic strikes are breaking out all over the country. These, so far, have been short, but Mr Schuman’s own Popular Republican newspaper, “L’Aube, says that a vast strike movement is being prepared and will explode unless the Government introduces urgent measures. x , ~ The Paris correspondent of tne British United Press says that General de Gaulle intends to start next week on a propaganda tour demanding the dissolution of the National Assembly and a new general election.
