WEDNESDAY (Before Mr Rex C. Abernethy, S.M.) REMANDED James Louis O’Connell, a french polisher, aged 41, who appealed on a charge of stealing on or about July 22. a quantity of sacks, valued at £2O, the property of Frederick Warren Walter, was remanded to appear on September 1. Senior-Sergeant J. J. Kearns said that further inquiries were necessary. Bail was renewed in accused’s own recognisance of £5O and one surety of £5O. accused to report daily to the police. UNLICENSED RADIOS Fines were imposed as follows on persons charged with operating unlicensed radio sets under information laid by the Post and Telegraph Department Alfred Henry Leith, 10s; Irene Gloria Page, £1; Frederick James JSheridan, ss.
