TRANSPORT LICENSING AUTHORITY
The following applications were granted on Wednesday by the No. 3 Transport Licensing Authority (Mr S. V. Raines): —Hector Mathew Jarden, renewal of continuous goods service licence with amendment to allow carriage of cattle within present area of licence; Raymond Croat, amendment to continuous goods service licence to allow carriage of logs and sawn timber within a 30-mile radius of the Christchurch Chief Post Office; Robert George Thompson, amendment to continuous goods service licence to allow cartage of general goods over the route Christ-church-Greendale (the general goods not to exceed lewt for any one consignee), Central Carrying Company, Ltd., amendment to continuous goods service licence extending the class of goods in two vehicle authorities to general goods; C. Williams and Sons, Ltd., amendment to continuous goods service licence by extending area to include the former Christchurch exempted area; David James Hughey and Robert Joseph Hughey, trading as Hughey Bros., Domett, amendment to continuous goods service licence by extending a vehicle authority to authorise the carrying of loose lime in bulk in that area which lies between the Rakaia and Oaro rivers.
Decision* was reserved in the following cases:—Wilfred Archibald Jones and Leslie Howison Jones, trading as Jones Bros., application for amendment to continuous goods service licence to include one additional vehicle authority for the cartage of lime which is sown by the licensees 'in the whole of the Waipara County;
William Douglas Dalzell, application for amendment to continuous goods service licence by the deletion of a special condition stipulating that the licensee may not carry fabbits on behalf of Ken Greer and Company, Ltd.
