Brookby Song was given two rounds of pacework on the No. 6 grass. Master Meruit was trotted round in the centre of the course, but was lame and was not worked. His chances of starting in the Grand National are not good, and if he does he cannot be expected to be -anywhere near his best. High Morale was given pacework on the course proper. He moved freely enough when he warmed up, but he still was very tender in front as he was walked round to cool out afterwards.
