LYTTELTON TRAINS DELAYED

BREAK IN POWER LINE A break in one of the overhead wires on the Lyttelton railway line last evening delayed the steamer express train from Christchurch at 7.M’ o’clock for 15 minutes, and a pa ss ®n* ger train from Lyttelton to Christchurch for about an hour. Steam engines were used on part of the hne until repairs were made later in tw evening. The break occurred near the Linwood railway yards when a shunting engine came into contact with wire and snapped it. The steamer express train was brought to the Linwood station by » steam engine and an electric engine was connected to take the train W the Lyttelton station. A train from Lyttelton, due in Christchurch at o’clock, was delayed at Linwood f Ol nearly an hour.
