CANTERBURY FIFTEEN

Sir, —I would like to congratulate “Miles” on his excellent summary of the Canterbury representative team in Friday’s paper. He Las expressed the views of the majority of Rugby followers in this city. Mpst of us wish to see more of the fine country players in our representative team. The reason for such a sound defeat by Wellington was that our best team was not on the field. The team selected did not seem to be a- reasonable one after the excellent showing of the country team, who have since proved that the inclusion of country players is fully justified. Surely it would do no harm to include some more country players in our next team. If the selectors will not select our best players we will have to find selectors that will.—Yours, etc., GIVE COUNTRY A CHANCE. July 16, 1948.
