The Chinese civil war spread to Cenhai Hopei in the last 24 hours, when three full Communist armies, supported by artillery, attacked along th-2 entire 50-mile stretch of railway between Tinghing. 20 miles north of the provincial capital. Paoting. and ShanJntein. 20 miles west of Peiping. A military spokesman said that the Communist offensive was “a farjeachins military plan.”
