FORECAST

Sir, —In “The Press" of July 9 an up-to-the-minute account of facts and events inside Berlin is noted on page 6. Alexander Werth says: “Russians resent the presence of Allies in Berlin.” What is the essence of Russia’s great game of bluff in Berlin? I was informed by a missionary teacher from India, now retired, that she always understood the Armageddon of the Scriptures would actually be fought on Russian soil. To-day, Russia in Berlin appears to be looking for urgent trouble. Her continued antagonistic tactics must be hard to bear at the moment. Britain is watching Russia’s political moves towards her own final doom. —Yours, etc., EZEKIEL. July 13. 1948
