HONOURING THE KING

Sir,—At 2.30 to-day, 3ZB announced a half-hour programme in honour of the birthday of the King. The only mention of his 1927 tour was to Australia. In presenting a typically blatant Australian recording,»3Zß forgot that the King and Her Majesty visited New Zealand. Is this the ungraciousness on a day of celebration for which radio listeners in New Zealand have built up a reserve fund running into millions?—Yours, etc., E.C.P. June 7. 1948.

[“lt was an Australian radio presentation and it was announced as such,” said Mr J. W. Stannage, manager of 3ZB, in reply to . this letter. “3ZB broadcast other sessions in recognition of His Majesty’s birthday during the day.”]
