PRICE OF BLANKETS
Sir,—The wool almost grows on fences in this country. Shown this week for sale are coloured bound English blankets, over £7 each. Recently in another store I saw blankets elaborately labelled and wrapped in cellophane at £5 2s 6d each, double size. War gave a shortage to us. but why now these fabulously-priced goods in a wool country?—Yours, etc., , HOUSEWIFE. March 19. 1948.
