CANADA AND TURKEY
TARIFF AGREEMENT FOR ONE YEAR (Rec. 9 p.m.) OTTAWA, March 18. Canada and Turkey have agreed on the reciprocal exchange of most favoured nation tariff treatment. Under the terms of a one-year agreement, Canadian products imported into Turkey and Turkish products imported into Canada will not be subject to duties or charges higher than those levied on the products of any other countries. The agreement excepts any advantages accorded by Canada exclusively to other parts of the British Commonwealth, and advantages accorded by Turkey to countries separated from the Ottoman Empire in 1923.
