DETAILS GIVEN OF NEW TREATY
(Ree. 7 i>.m.) LONDON, March IT. The new alliance between Britain and Transjordan strengthen* the mutual aid provisions of tne 1946 treaty. Britain no longer has an almost unrestrteted right to statton troops in Transjordan, but Transjordan invites Britain to maintain Royal Air Force units at the Amman and Mafrak al»flelda, The new joint defence board will, if necessary, recommend th* stationing in peace time of other British units in Transjordan. Each party agrees to aid the other in war. Britain will continue to train the f y°S’to« Ul th?re keep. The two countriea’ arms will be standardised.
