—• — SOUTHLAND ALL OUT FOR 78

GAME AGAINST FIJIANS ON WET WICKET (P.A.) INVERCARGILL, March 10.

A wet wicket and a heavy outfield spoiled the first day of the game between Fiji and Southland. When play began at 3 o’clock the weather was fine but the wicket was actually unfit for 'play. With about 20 minutes left, Fiji opened its innings and scored 11 without loss. The game will be continued to-mor-row, and if necessary, for two hours on Friday. Details:— SOUTHLAND First Innings A.
