N.Z. TEAM TO VISIT AUSTRALIA

(P.A.) WELLINGTON. March 10. Advice that the council of the New Zealand Golf Association has accepted an invitation from the Australian Golf Union to send a team to the Commonwealth this year was received last night from Mr G. O. Sutton, secretary of the association. The New Zealand team, he said, would consist of four players and a player-manager. No itinerary had been arranged but the team would be back in time to compete in the national championships. BOYLE CUP MATCH The Christchurch Ladies’ Golf Club beat the Hanmer Springs Golf Club by 4 matches to 1, in a challenge match for the Boyle Cup, played at the Shirley golf links on Tuesday. Results were as follows (Hanmer names mentioned first): — Miss E. Parsons lost to Miss Z. Hudson; Mrs Latham lost to Miss V. Fleming; Mrs W. A. Wilkinson beat Miss E. White-Par-sons; Miss J. Sutherland lost to Mrs A. C. McKillop; Mrs Harrison lost to Mrs Duthie. TEMPLETON LADIES’ CLUB A medal match on Tuesday was won by Mrs E. Love, 112, 36—76. Mrs D. Clifford, 115, ■36—79; Miss E. Smythe, 115, 36—79; and Mrs D. Thomas, 118, 36—82 were next.
