STATEMENT BY PRIME MINISTER (P.A.) DUNEDIN, February 25. “I was deeply shocked and grieved to learn of the serious train accident between Seddon and Blind river today,” said the Prime Minister (Mr P. Fraser) to-night. “On receipt of tha news, the Acting-Minister of Railway! (Mr F. Hackett) made immediate arrangements to go to the scene. I am informed that all possible measures have been and are being taken to carfe for the injured and. to render any other assistance which may be necessary. “On behalf of the Government ana people of New Zealand, I extend to all relatives our deepest sympathy in theitf grave anxiety.”
