COMPOSER’S DEPORTATION OPPOSED

(Rec. 9 p.m.) LONDON, January 10. British art leaders have telegraphed President Truman, protesting against the threatened deportation of Hans Eisler, an Austrian refugee composer, who will be tried in Los Angeles on January 15 on charges of un-American activities. They asked that Eisler should be allowed to enter France, from which he received a visa, to work on music for the film “Alice in Wonderland.”
