LYTTELTON HARBOUR BOARD

MR C. W. TYLER ELECTED CHAIRMAN Mr C. W. Tyler (Rangiora) was elected chairman of the Lyttelton Harbour Board at its annual meeting in . Christchurch yesterday. There were two nominations for the post—those of Mr Tyler and the retiring chairman (Mr W. S. Mac Gibbon)., After a ballot, Mr Tyler was declared elected by 10 votes to four. Mr F. W. Freeman was elected deputy-chainman unopposed. Committees and representatives on other bodies were elected as follows: Finance and standing committee: all members of the board. Harbour improvements committee: Messrs Tyler, Freeman, Mac Gibbon, R. E. Cairns, R. T. McMillan, F. E. Sutton and H. Holderness.
