DEARER FURNITURE
MANUFACTURERS GRANTED PRICE INCREASE (P.A.) WELLINGTON, October 7. Furniture manufacturers have been advised by z the Price Tribunal that they may increase their prices by 3 per cent, to offset the cost of recent wage increases. Radio manufacturers have been granted a 4 per cent, increase on the same grounds. No decision has been announced on retailers’ mark-ups. Until this is done, there can be no indication of the effect on prices to the public.
