DECISION BY LONDON DESIGNERS (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) . , LONDON, October 2. London’s leading fashion designers voted to-day in favour of a skirt hemline 14 inches from the ground. .The spokesman for their association steid: We do hot regard this as a compromise between Paris and New York It is a skitt length that will generally be adopted .when the new Style ideas settle down.” Denying that the new length would use more material than the Board of Trade allowed, the spokesman said that it was obviously impossible to export unfashionable models. Designers Would use the same amount of material as previously, but would cut it differently
