HONOUR WON BY APPRENTICE
INSTITUTE’S AWARD TO MR DAVID WITTE “This certificate means that you are the best apprentice-carpenter in New Zealand, and the college feels proud that you have won this honour,” said the chairman of the board of govern-“r-j °f‘ he Christchurch Technical College (Mr T. W. West) at a meeting of the board last evening, when he presented Mr David Witte, a night pupil of the College, with the certificate of merit of the Australasian section Of the Incorporated British Institute of Certificated Carpenters. This was the first occasion that a Pupil of the college had won the certificate. said Mr West, who added that the Director of Education (Dr. C. E Beeby) had written to the board askcxtend his congratulations to Mr Witte. Mr Witte’s instructors at the college (Messrs A. J. R. Warren and C B Wells) were also congratulated by Mr West and by the members of the board.
