REDUCTION IN FARES NEXT MONTH (N.Z. Press Association —Copyright) (Rec. 12.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, Oct 3. A reduction in fares on the SydneyAuckland air service, to operate from November 1, was announced'to-day by lhe chairman of Tasman Empire Airways (Mr A. Rudder). The new single fare will be £2B, and the return fare £5O Bs, compared with £3O and £57, as at present. Mr Rudder added that Tasman Empire Airways would be operating nine services a week between Sydney and Auckland after the arrival of a fourth Tasman class flying-boat this month, if the traffic demand warranted an increase from the present schedule of seven services a week.
