48,000 KILLED IN GREECE
CASUALTIES IN CIVIL WAR (Rec. 7 p.m.) ATHENS. Sept. 30. The Minister of Public Order (Mr Constantine Rentis) announced that 45,214 civilians and 3031 police and gendarmes had been killed in civil strife since Greece was liberated in October, 1944.
