Harewood Tenants Housed.—Forty tenants in the transit housing settlement at Harewood have been housed in State houses and 10 have obtained their own accommodation. These figures were given by Cr. G. D Griffiths, chairman of the City Council’s housing and tqwn-planning committee, at the council’s meeting this week. Cr. Griffiths said that seven tenants had moved out, and it was not known where they had gone, while seven had been “helped out.” The position at Harewood was very much better, and the State Advances Corporation was keeping its promise and taking the tenants out.
