TRAVEL KING WINS DOUBLE •
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, September 28. The Ohinemuri Jockey Club’s spring meeting was held yesterday in fine weather. The going was good and the totalisator handled £61,427, against £65,609 10s last year, a decrease of £4182 10s. In the Flying Handicap Hunting Camp fell, his rider, B. Felling, being admitted to hospital for observation. An inquiry into the accident was opened and adjourned until the evidence of the jockey was available. An inquiry was also held into interference with Irish Fox by La Fillette in the Poland Cup. It was found that La Fillette had run in under pressure, causing accidental interference. Golden Beau stumbled and lost his rider in the Kerepeehi ‘ Hack Handicap. The horse broke a shoulder and had to be destroyed.. In the third division of the Taumarunui Stakes Gaylio finished second, but weighed in 81b light owing to the stitching ureakiAg in a lead ba£ He was disqualified, Tv/innie being placed second and Bronze Pay third.
