WHY HEALTH STAMPS?
The question is simply answered. Health stamps provide good health for under-nourished youngsters—in other words, for young New Zealanders who, k for some reason or other, need building up. Do they get what they need? The answer again is simple. It is, Yes. Those who have seen the 450 children who have stayed for six weeks at a time at Glenelg have no doubt about it. Further, regular follow-ups by the school nurses prove it. By a course of health treatmen now hospital bills (which the community pays) are avoided in the future. On Wednesday the 1947- health stamps will be on sale for the first time. First day covers are already available. All you have to do is to go to the post office and get them. Prepare your envelopes and be ready to post them on Wednesday, October 1. Philatelists will assure you that first day covers have a special value. Those posted at Glenelg will have, in the years to come, an additional worth For one day in the year a special post office is opened at the health camp on Murray Aynsley Hill. Every letter posted there that day bearing healtn stamps will carry with it a special imprint or cancellation mark. You can cost v oui letters there. Tramway buses leave the Square at 2 p.m. on Wednesday If you can't go to Glenelg, go to your nearest post office.
