Spring Lambs
The Aid to Britain National Council has decided to recommend to the Government that the Primary Industries Controller should bring into force immediately an order prohibiting the killing of spring lambs before November 30 unless the dressed weight exceeds 301 b. The chairman of the council (Mr F. P. Walsh) said yesterday that the decision, if given effect to, would probably result in an extra 500,0001 b of meat for Britain this season.—(P.A.)
