DANISH WARNING TO BRITAIN
FAILURE OF FOOD TALKS (Rec. 10 p.m.) w COPENHAGEN, Sept. 15. Mr Waerum, the Danish representative at the’British-Danish food talks. Which ended in a deadlock, said that if no new British -Danish food agreement were signed before October 1 and the old agreement not prolonged, Denmark would be freed from her obligations to export food to Britain. The only exception would be eggs. According to the present treaty Denmark was obliged to send 50 per cent, of her egg exports to Britain. Denmark was already looking for -new customers. Russia was asking for 8000 to 10,000 tons of butter in payment for 100,000 tons of grain, which Denmark badly needed. Czechoslovakia Was r§ady to take great quantities of Danish agricultural products.
