Inter-Island Steamers Full
Full complements of passengers are being carried at present by the Union Steam Ship Company’s two steamer expresses, the Hinemoa and the Wahine. The school and university holidays, and spring race meetings, usually cause more inter-island traffic, but this year there are also many members of J Force travelling on leave. The office staff of the company in Christchurch is kept busy handling applications for bookings. Applicants are not kept waiting long, as extra windows are opened whenever a queue grows beyond four in number.
