(Rec. 11 p.m.) ADELAIDE, Aug. 24. After a lapse of 17 years. 11. W. Hattersley won his second Australian amagolf championship by beating F. W. Gluth, 1 up. The match was played in appalling conditions of icy wind and driving rain.

Hattersley was never down, but gave his supporters anxious moments by losing his commanding lead in the afternoon. The players were level at the thirty-sixth hole. Gluth missed an easv putt, leaving Hattersley a one-foot putt to take the match. CHRISTCHURCH CLUB A foursome flag match for the G. E. Rhodes Cup. played by the Christchurch Club on Saturday resulted in a win for *• B. Cromb and Mrs Cromb, who carried the flag just short of the twentieth green. L. W. Fleetwood and Mrs J. B. Hay, who took the flag to the nineteenth green, were second. HAGLEY CLUB Best scores in the second round of the championships played on Saturday were as follows: Senior.—W. Purdie beat H.
