LANDING COMPETITION AT HAREWOOD

The first of the Canterbury Aero Club's landing competitions for the season was held at Harewood yesterday. The winner of the series, which will probably be finished early in the New Year, will receive the club’s Landing Competition Cup, and will represent Canterbury at the South island pageant next year. The 1948 pageant will be held at Taieri in conjunction with Dunedin’s centennial celebrations.

-Yesterday’s competition, was won by V Bettie. N. F. Marriott and C. Feldwick were second and third. There Were a good number of entries and the Judge, Flight Lieutenant R. K. Walker, of Wigram, said the flying was of a particularly high standard.
