STOMACH ULCERS
Sir, —May I suggest that any person who believes he (or she) is suffering from ulcers of any sort should insist on an X-ray being taken. For . 10 years I have supposedly been suffering from a duodenal ulcer. I have been seen by several doctors, and was sent to a hospital for three weeks for ulcer dieting and injections, with the result that I was no better. Later. I was in another hospital for an operation for a different cause, and although the doctors were told about the ulcer, nothing was done. After a recent collapse I insisted on an X-ray, and found that I have not got an ulcer, and have no signs of ever having had one. My trouble has symptoms similar to an ulcer, but is fairly easy to put right, and could have been attended to years ago. thus saving me and my family years of suffering.— Yours, etc..
