VALIDITY OF WILL
Sir, —“Testator” has one sure way to make certain as to the disposal of his property: that is, to dispose of it in his lifetime; but, like King Lear, he may find that has repercussions. Relying on a will, the only comfort is that the thing that seemed important and right when making the will may look very different from the other side. If there is no- other side, then why worry? We all change our minds from day to day as circumstances and conditions alter; and perhaps more harm has been done by adherence to the expressed wishes of the dead than by the interference of the Courts in the interests of the living, however unworthy.—Yours, etc., „ AS WE FORGIVE. July 25, 1947.
