STOCK EXCHANGES BANKS AGAIN LOST GROUND The bulk of tne dealings on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday were m bank shares, industrials, and chain stores. Bank of Australasia regained all their recent lost ground, with buyers at £l3 and a sale of 100 shares on the Melbourne register at £l3 5s 9d. National Bank of - Australasia, 12s 6d paid, were 8d down at 19s lOd. Sales of Commercial Bank of Australia in Melbourne on Thursday at 23s 6d and in Sydney at 22s 4Jd were sharply reflected in Christchurch by buyers offering 23s 2d. with sellers at 23s 7d. British Tobacco eased 3d at 52s 6d. Restricted dealings in Wellington Woollens <pref.». Colonial Sugar, DJ.C, Milburn Lime. and Woolworths (New Zealand) v. ere at unchanged rates.
