NO SUGAR RATIONING IN AUSTRALIA
CANBERRA, July 2. The Commonwealth Prime Minister (Mr Chifley) announced that his Cabinet had decided to abandon sugar rationin* forthwith because Australian sugar rationing did not greatly help Britain and world sugar production showed a marked increase in 1946-47.
