WRESTLING

BLOMFIELD AND KUSS DRAW

(PA.) DUNEDIN, July 3. “Lofty" Blomfield and Otto Kuss wrestled a draw before a large attendance in the Town Hall to-night, in a match marked by much clowning and showmanship, and occasional clever wrestling, mixed with a good deal of rough-house tactics. Kuss took the first fall in the third round with a flying headscissors, following a series of fierce forearm jolts, which repeatedly sent Blomfield to the floor. The equalising fall was gained by Blomfield in the sixth round with an octopus clamp.

MCCREADY BEATS BOESCH

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, July 3. For speed and all-round wrestling, few contests in Wellington have excelled that in which Earl McCready beat Paul Boesch by two falls to one to-night. A fall against McCready in the second round came as a surprise, but Boesch was in good form, setting a torrid pace.
