OTHER EXCHANGES

Sydney The downward tendency for highpriced shares became defined yesterday on the Sydney Stock Exchange, as some leading industrials edged back. Sellers were prominent over a wide range, anjd all offerings were not absorbed. Brokers attribute the slackening of *the market partly to unrest associated with the introduction of the 40-hour week in New South Wales.
