UKRAINIANS TO BE DEPORTED
POLISH GOVERNMENT’S DECISION (Rec. 7 p.m.) WARSAW, June 10. Because they “constitute a danger to order and peace,” a number of Ukrainians, estimated at more than 10,000, are to be deported from southern Poland, near the Ukrainian frontier, to Poland’s new territory in East Prussia. They had refused to leave Poland for the Russian Ukraine. Polish settlers will replace them in their homes and farms. An official announcement said their removal became imperative because of their hostility to Russia.
