WRESTLING

BLOMFIELD DISQUALIFIED TIED HENRY UP IN ROPES (P.A.) HASTINGS, June 11. There was a sensational ending to a professional wrestling contest this evening between Jim Henry and Lofty Blomfield. Blomfield was disqualified in the Sixt? round after the roughest exhibition seen in Hawke’s Bay. Blomfield, after being subjected to numerous illegalities throughout the bout, tied Henry up in the ropes, and after throwing the referee across the ring several times, refused to release his opponent and was disqualified. Before that Blomfield had secured a fall in the third round with an octopus clamp, and Henry equalised in the fifth with a Boston crab.
