MISS DORIS BRAY TO BE MARRIED
SECRETARY OF WELLINGTON RACING CLUB (P.A.) WELLINGTON, June 9. In view of her approaching marriage, Miss Doris Bray has tendered her resignation as secretary of the Wellington Racing Club. At a meeting of stewards to-day. Miss Bray’s resignation was accepted with regret. It was decided to place on record keen appreciation of her services. The resignation will take effect on September 30. Miss Bray is to marry Mr H. H. Green, a retired dental surgeon, of Wellington. Mr Green is a steward of the Wellington Racing Club, and is also an executive member of the New Zealand Racing Conference. Miss Bray joined the staff of the Wellington Racing Club 20 years ago, and for 14 years has held the position of secretary. She was the first woman secretary to be appointed by a racing club in New Zealand.
