INVESTIGATION OF MURDER

WOMAN FOUND BLEEDING DETECTIVES’ DISCOVERY (P.A.) AUCKLAND. June 9. Detectives who have been investigating the murder on Thursday of Mrs Gladys Ruth Rusden. aged 47, in her home at 37 Horotutu road One Tree Hill, to-day found a woman whom they wished to interview at her house in Newton road bleeding profusely from a number of cute on her arms and legs. She is Mrs Pansy Louise Frances Frost, who lives in portion of a two-unit house at Newton road. Mrs Frost was rushed to the Auckland Hospital in an ambulance, but in spite of heavy loss of blood her condition is not regarded as serious. Accompanied by her solicitor and Constable M. Parker, of the women s division, the police left the central police station for her home in a patrol car about 3 o’clock. On their arrival at her house they found her lying in a semi-conscious condition on the floor of the washhouse, with her head near the copper. Detectives took possession of a blood-covered safety razor blade, a small drinking glass and a bottle of yellow capsules. It is believed that Mrs Frost had been in the wash house since about noon. As the mystery surrounding the murder deepens the police are continuing investigations with unabated vigour. Detectives due to take their annual leave this week have had their holidays cancelled.
