GAS FOR TWO MORE HOURS
CHRISTCHURCH COMPANY’S ANNOUNCEMENT
The time during which gas is available to Christchurch users has been extended by two hours. The Christchurch Gas Company announced yesterday that until further notice the pressure would not be reduced until 9 p.m. ihstead of 7 p.m., as it has been for several days. Pressure will not be restored until 6 a.m. each day. The company reminded users that in the interests of their own safety they should turn off the gas when the pressure was reduced.
