WRESTLING
KUSS DISQUALIFIED IN a BOUT WITH BELL (P.A.) DUNEDIN, May 12. A professional wrestling match between Kay Bell (17st) and Otto Kuss (17st 31b). in the Town Hall to-night, ended sensationally in the sixth round with the disqualification of Kpss for striking the referee (Mr F. Anderson). Up to that stage, both men had given a fast, clever display of wrestling. Kuss taking a fall in the fifth round with a flying scissors after two flying tackles. Bell secured an Indian deathlock towards the end of the sixth round, but the gong saved Kuss when Bell looked like gaining a submission fall. As the referee endeavoured to break the hold by pushing Kuss off, the latter stood up and struck the referee in his face. Kuss was immediately disqualified, and the bout awarded to Bell, amid Uproar by a large crowd.
