MARRIED PERSONNEL WILL BE ELIGIBLE UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS FOR A MARRIAGE ALLOWANCE OF THREE SHILLINGS PER DIEM PLUS A SEPARATION ALLOWANCE OF THREE SHILLINGS PER DIEM. The rate of pay for Able Seamen or equivalent under 21 years of age is 14/per diem. AH ratings wiH be paid a Uniform Allowance to assist in the maintenance of uniform. Long service personnel will be entitled to superannuation benefits on discharge. Personnel on Short Service engagements will be eligible under certain condition! for gratuities on discharge amounting to £25 for each year’s service. Former Naval Service will count towards Good Conduct Badges, Good Conduct Medal, Progressive Pay and advancement.
