NO OPPORTUNITY FOR ENTERPRISE COMPLAINT BY U.S. BUSINESSMAN (Rec. 9 p.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, March 15. The New Zealand Labour Government has killed all enterprise and opportunities for enterprise according to Mr Frank Austin, a former captain in the United States Marines, who arrived on March 14 aboard the Marine Phoenix Mr Austin settled in New Zealand, after marrying a New Zealand girl and spent 14 months in Hastings where he tried to start an import business and then tried to manufacture wooden ware. business is so surrounded by restrictions you can’t move,” said Mr Austin. “You have to battle weeks or months to get a price set for your articles. Shelves are bare but they won t increase production. New Zealand definitely offers no nope for business men. It is okay if you are a skilled labourer, but even Wen wages average 19 dollars a week. An American railroad porter would turn up his nose at that. New Zealanders are as hospitable in peace as in New Zealand is no place . r . a .n American who had sufficient restrictions in war time.” Mr Austin plans to return to his former newspaper job in Kansas City
