Although there was some rain this morning, it would have no effect on the Epsom track, which will be hard and fast to-morrow for the ‘Auckland Trotting Club’s meeting. Fine fields are carded, and provision has been made for two divisions in the Henderson Handicap. Keen interest is being taken in the meeting of Doctor Ted and Sprayman in the two mam races, the Fergusson Handicap and the Papatoetoe Handicap. As the former is bracketed with Bonnie Jack and Bexley’s Pride, the combination’ is likely to be most in demand. Horses . expected to be well supported include:— 11 a.m.—lnnovation Handicap: Eaton, Swordsman’s*- Triumph, Keen Blade. 11.50 a.m.—Devonport Handicap: Jack Irvine, Parrish Jewel, Fillmore. 12.40 p.m.—Franklin Handicap: Jackie Boy, Lone Raider, Noble de Oro. 1.30 p.m.—Fergusson Handicap: Doctor Ted, Sprayman, Portadown. 2.20 p.m.—Whitford Handicap: Keen Blade, Vindictive Lady, Nero. 3.10 p.m.—March Handicap: Caledonian Gold, Black Machine, Captain Gaillard. 4 p.m.—Henderson Handicap: First Division—Lone Raider, Lady Spray, Whanako. Second Division—Noble de Oro, Symetra, Contender. 4.50 p.m.—Papatoetoe Handicap: Doctor Ted, Sprayman, Catalpa. , Brackets on the totalisator are:—lnnovation Handicap: William and Tell Us, Eaton and Maxee, King Arthur and Mine Host. Devonport Handicap: Direct Heir and Lady Averil, Fillmore and Gold Strand, Mourne Spring and Rita Grattan.
